Phrases to give wings to your organization

World Book Day is an excellent opportunity to seek sources of inspiration that allow us to delve into human nature. Books assist us in uncovering new methods to motivate those in our midst, cultivating environments in which they can evolve into their best selves.

In today's post, we have compiled quotes from immortal authors such as Oscar Wilde (1854-1900), Virginia Woolf (1882-1941), and Gabriel García Márquez (1927-2014), which we have linked to some of our reflections on the HRider Blog:

Oscar Wilde:

  • "The best way to make children good is to make them happy."
And they too have the power to make us adults happy with his reasoning and simple way of making us understand the world of the elderly.

  • "Experience is the name we give to our mistakes."
The The best way to develop ourselves is to talk about our mistakes from a constructive point of view.

  • "If you are not long, I will wait here for you all my life".
Love is always an emotion we yearn for: the love of a perfect couple, the love that fosters friendship, family bonds, love for a job, and we might even wish to hold great affection for our boss!

  • "The one advantage of playing with fire, Lady Caroline, is that no one ever gets singed. It is the people who don't know how to play with it who get burned up."
Fire, from a literary point of view, can be something hypnotic that concentrates us in our thoughts, but we must be careful not to obsess over what burns us inside .

  • "Loving yourself is the beginning of an adventure that lasts a lifetime."
IAs the inscription on the Delphi temple read: "Know thyself".

  • "One should always be in love."
One of the things that sets humans apart from machines is the ability to feel the magic of enthusiasm.

Virginia Woolf:

  • "Growing up is losing some illusions, in order to acquire others".
Reading is akin to experiencing rebirth, repeatedly, in new worlds. Learning similarly imparts that sensation that we continue to mature
    even as we grow older.

  • "One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well".
You need to have good ingredients to nourish the soul.

  • "For masterpieces are not single and solitary births; they are the outcome of many years of thinking in common, of thinking by the body of the people, so that the experience of the mass is behind the single voice.”"
Never underestimate what the intergenerational wealth can bring to people and work environments.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez:

  • "Sometimes it is forgotten that the best news is not the one that is delivered first, but the one that is delivered the best."
Words make up our intellect and it is important to know how to use them properly to find the ending happy story.

  • "Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want, doesn't mean they don't love you with their whole being."
We must recognize that at times, hearing words we might not like
does not diminish their significance for our personal growth.
