Predictive Turnover

Predictive Turnover (or Predictive Attrition) is a methodology that uses data, statistical analysis, and artificial intelligence to anticipate which individuals are most likely to leave an organization within a given period. Its goal is to help companies identify talent drain risks and take preventive action.

Through the analysis of variables such as performance, tenure, engagement levels, development opportunities, promotion history, or working conditions, predictive models enable the detection of patterns associated with voluntary turnover.

In Human Resources, Predictive Turnover facilitates a more strategic approach to talent management by enabling organizations to:
  • Identify groups with a higher risk of leaving.
  • Design personalized retention plans.
  • Reduce costs associated with employee turnover.
  • Improve employee experience.
  • Make data-driven decisions rather than relying solely on perceptions.
This practice is part of the People Analytics field and allows organizations to shift from reactive to preventive talent management, anticipating potential losses of knowledge and key capabilities.
