Training Plan

A fundamental strategic Human Resources document that comprehensively details the training actions necessary to develop and improve the skills, knowledge, competencies, and attitudes of an organization's employees.

This plan is developed based on a thorough analysis of needs identified through various sources, such as individual and group performance evaluations, current and future skills gap analysis, career plans, technological or regulatory changes, and the company's overall strategic objectives.

An effective Training Plan includes detailed information on:

  • Training Objectives: Specific and measurable goals to be achieved with each training action.
  • Target Audience: Clear identification of the employees or areas to which each activity is directed.
  • Content: Syllabus and depth of the topics to be covered in the training.
  • Methodology: Learning techniques and formats to be used (in-person, online, blended, coaching, mentoring, etc.).
  • Necessary Resources: Budget, materials, instructors (internal or external), technological platforms, physical spaces, etc.
  • Timeline: Deadlines and execution dates for each training activity.
  • Responsible Parties: Areas or individuals responsible for the planning, execution, and monitoring of the plan.
  • Evaluation Indicators: Quantitative and qualitative metrics to measure the effectiveness of the training in terms of learning, behavior, and organizational results (ROI).

The Training Plan is a living document that must be reviewed and updated periodically to ensure its alignment with the changing needs of the business and the continuous development of employees, thereby contributing to the achievement of strategic objectives and the improvement of the organization's overall performance.
