Bimodal distribution

When we talk about bimodal distribution, we refer to a statistical concept characterized by the presence of two clearly distinct peaks or modes in the data distribution. This indicates the existence of two predominant groups or behaviours within the same sample, rather than a single central tendency.

Applied to Human Resources and people analytics, bimodal distribution allows us to identify situations in which an organization is not homogeneous, but rather two different realities coexist within the same system. For example, it may reflect the coexistence of teams with very different levels of performance or perceptions of workplace climate.

This type of distribution is highly relevant because it highlights possible internal gaps, inequalities or a lack of cultural alignment.
