Imagotype
An imagotype is a graphic representation of a brand consisting of a visual element or symbol and a textual element that can work together or independently. Unlike a logotype, which is primarily based on a typographic representation of the brand name, an imagotype combines both elements without them being inherently integrated.
The visual element can be a symbol, icon, or graphic representation associated with the brand, while the textual element usually corresponds to the name of the company, product, or service. Both components can be used together to reinforce brand recognition or independently when its identity is already sufficiently established.
Extrapolated to Human Resources, the imagotype can appear in job postings, onboarding materials, internal communications, corporate platforms, and Employer Branding initiatives, helping to convey a consistent visual identity and strengthen employee identification with the organization.
