Normal distribution

When we talk about the normal distribution, we refer to a fundamental statistical concept that describes how data are distributed around a mean, forming a symmetric bell-shaped curve. In this type of distribution, most values are concentrated around the average, while extreme values appear less frequently and in a balanced way on both sides.

In Human Resources and people analytics, the normal distribution allows us to interpret indicators such as work climate, performance or engagement from a more realistic perspective than the simple average. Not all results carry the same meaning when viewed in isolation, but their distribution reveals patterns that help us understand the overall behaviour of the system.

When data follow a normal distribution, we interpret that the environment is stable and that there are no major internal imbalances.
