Quiet Hiring is a strategy that allows organizations to maximize internal talent by acquiring new skills and competencies, but without hiring new employees.

Instead of hiring new employees, current employees are assigned more tasks in order to increase productivity and bridge skill gaps; however, this strategy could burden employees with tasks and duties that could exceed their responsibilities and capabilities.

This new HR tendency is the opposite to what is known as Quiet Quitting, in which employees fulfill the bare minimum tasks required for their positions.

Some advantages of this strategy are:

· Cost savings.
· Flexibility.
· Motivation.
· Skill gaps reduction.
· Detection of star employees.

However, we could encounter these disavantages:

· Lack of diversity.
· Increased stress and burnout levels.
· Demotivation.
· Lack of commitment.
