Descriptive Rating Scale

This is an evaluation method used to assess values, capabilities, or competencies within Hrider models. In the “descriptive levels” method, each competency can define a different description for each level.

Descriptive levels methodologies facilitate a more objective evaluation by the evaluator. Instead of choosing numerical options or simpler rating scales, evaluators must select scales based on detailed behaviors for each level of proficiency.

In performance or competency evaluation processes, one of the main challenges is the interpretation of scales. Descriptive levels add value because they:

  • Reduce ambiguity in evaluation.
  • Facilitate more objective decision-making.
  • Increase consistency among different evaluators.
  • Improve the quality of feedback.
