Likert Scale
The Likert Scale is a measurement method used in surveys and questionnaires to assess the degree of agreement or disagreement of people regarding a statement. Typically composed of a range of 5 to 7 options, for example, from "totally disagree" to "totally agree." It allows the intensity of employees' attitudes or perceptions on various aspects to be captured, such as job satisfaction, organizational climate or commitment to the company. It also allows qualitative data to be quantified and analyzed in a structured manner, facilitating the interpretation of results and decision-making in human resource management.
Its name comes from the psychologist Rensis Likert, who developed this tool in the 1930s.
