GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

The General Data Protection Regulation is the regulation that determines the rules regarding the processing of personal data of natural persons in the European Union. It also dictates the rules on the free circulation of this data.

The purpose of the GDPR is to protect the right of individuals to safeguard their personal data.

This regulation is carried out in all the countries of the European Union, each country being able to elaborate its own laws.

In the case of Spain, the LOPD (Organic Law on Data Protection) was repealed with the entry into force, on December 7, 2018, of this new Organic Law 3/2018 of Personal Data Protection (LOPDGDD).
