In terms of labor relations, is the level of commitment or involvement that is created between the employee and the organization.

For committed workers, work is fun and not a burden, they do not perceive their work as stressful and demanding, they see it as challenging and challenging. Engaged employees have values that match the organizations in which they work, and thanks in large part to their customer-friendly behaviors, they receive positive feedback.

In-depth interviews with committed workers and workers suffering from burnout, notable differences between the two groups can be seen (Schaufeli et al., 2001). For example, when faced with the same situation where something bothers them at work, committed employees are proactive, expressing their complaints, looking for alternatives, making suggestions to try to improve their condition and if they cannot reverse the work situation, ultimately , they leave the position. While burned-out workers remain passive, they feel unfairly treated and with a constant feeling of frustration, which causes them to give up doing anything to turn the situation around.

In order to generate engagement, organizations must have employees with values consistent with those of the company and focus not only on technical skills, but also on soft skills, which are the skills that will determine their behavior in day to day at work.
